CS Slayback

from 149.99

*Creek is happy to autograph the box in which this knife is packaged. Simply include the necessary information on the next page after ordering.

The CS Slayback has been put through the rigors of survival on Season 2 of SOS HOW TO SURVIVE. I took the Slayback to the mountains, the snow, the desert and even the jungles of Puerto Rico to make sure it was a knife that I (and you) could rely on. As you’ll see when Season 2 airs on The Weather Channel in July, it passes with flying colors and I’m really proud to offer it to anyone who wants a dependable multi-environment knife that’s made right here in the USA.

HAND MADE IN THE USA
Each and every CS Slayback Knife and sheath is made right here in the USA.  Every knife is a little different and shows the character of the individual Blacksmith.  Many hours of tooling, shaping, grinding, honing and sharpening have gone into this tool and I am proud to back it with a 100% satisfaction money back or replacement guarantee.

YOUR LEATHER SHEATH
Your leather sheath will be tight at first and will require “breaking-in”.  This “breaking-in” period will depend on how often you use your knife.  As you use your knife and sheath, the leather will soften and eventually fit your blade like a glove.  Be patient. The dangle sheath features a quick-release belt loop that makes putting on and taking off your knife a breeze - without removing your belt. It is hand crafted by Adam Cantrell of Voyager Leatherworks and is an unbelievable leather artist.

SHARPENING YOUR KNIFE
All of my CS Slaybacks are single bevel blades.  This allows one to achieve an extremely sharp edge.  Only sharpen the side of the knife which bears my “WILD-E” logo.  Diamond or ceramic rod sharpeners work great but bench stones work just as well.  Your knife edge should be honed after every use. A field sharpening stone is included with your order.

MAINTENANCE
The CS Slaybacks are carbon steel.  To prevent rust, apply a thin layer of mineral oil after each use in the field using a cotton rag or tissue, especially before storing your  knife.  This will create a barrier and prevent rust.
