Foraging (TOBACCO) Hawk

28.99

This Foraging Hawk is designed after a tool my Grandpa made to harvest Tobacco in Kentucky. I watched him use that tool to harvest all kinds of things from the woods - cane poles, walking sticks, and even medicinal roots from the Goldenseal Plant.

While I’m honored to own the original Tobacco Hawk that he made, I wanted to share this very unique tool with my customers. So, I teamed up with Reptile Toolworks in the heart of Kentucky to make a modern day version of Grandpa Tucky’s Tobacco Hawk.

Your Foraging “Tobacco” Hawk will come with a hardened blade mounted to a backer board, a wooden handle, and 3 sets of bolts/nuts to mount it. If you want, you can make your own handle from your own limb or unique branch to give the hawk more character and story.

This is a working man/woman’s tool. Don’t expect it to come polished and pretty. It’s made to be used for a huge variety of tasks and is plenty durable enough to take the work.

Watch the video to see some more details of the hawk - as well as the ORIGINAL Tobacco Hawk my Grandpa made.
