McQueen's Mutton Tallow

6.99

McQueen's Mutton Tallow has been around since 1895.  It's now made in Nunnelly, TN USA by Anita Baker.  Mutton tallow is rendered sheep fat.  It is an amazing multi-use product to keep in your bush kit.  It conditions leather but can also lubricate machinery.  It's been used to sooth psoriasis, hemorrhoids, insect bites and most commonly - chapped skin.  It also makes a great base for natural salves and ointments.  It is a perfect dressing for carbon steel knives and tools, as it will prevent them from rusting.  It can also treat wood handles for axes, kuksas or other tools.  Add a wick and it will function as a candle if necessary.  It is also all natural.  I know of no other more useful and multi-functional salve to keep in your kit.  Keep in a dry, cool spot out of the sun and it will last for years.  1 ounce tin.
