Prandi Valsassina Valley Hatchet Head (MADE IN ITALY)
LIMITED QTY!!!
It’s been a long winter and spring is here. If you’ve been looking for a hands-on project that results in an awesome tool and an incredible sense of accomplishment, this is it!
This is a hatchet head that’s forged in the heart of Italy’s artisan steel district. Prandi is based in Italy’s picturesque Valsassina valley. While many people think of vineyards when they think of Italy, Prandi has been forging axes and hatchets for the timber industry in this valley since 1969.
At 1.24 lbs, this Valsassina Valley Hatchet Head is MADE IN ITALY from start to finish. The only things that’s missing is your craftsman’s touch to find, design, and carve a a handle.
If you’ve never carved a hatchet handle before, my friend Brett from Art of Manliness has a great step-by-step tutorial on how to do it here: https://www.artofmanliness.com/skills/manly-know-how/how-to-carve-an-axe-handle-from-a-log/

ABOUT PRANDI
For three generations Prandi & C. has produced high quality forged and heat cast manual tools with PASSION. They are among the few companies in Europe who boast such a large array of forest splitting tools with over 150 models of axes and hatchets.
Thanks to our state of the art fleet of machines, all processes necessary for the production of the tools are completed internally at Prandi: creation of moulds, hot forging, sandblasting, heat treating, grinding, sharpening, varnishing, assembly of handles, marking, labeling, and packaging.
Each production phase, whilst maintaining the standards and peculiarities of typical Italian artisan work, is examined according to the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 standards.
PRANDI ROOTS
Since Carlo Prandi founded the company, in 1969, three generations of the family have carried on the business with passion, attention to quality and a strong desire for innovation.
